Ready to get started?

The first step is completing the Online Application.  You’ll be prompted to create a username and password before beginning the application.  On the Program Selection screen, please select ‘Educational Leadership Endorsement’. 

During the online application, you’ll be prompted to provide your recommender’s email address.  You may also upload your teaching license within the application or email it to leadership@longwood.edu

There will be a one-time application fee, due upon submission of the application.

Your unofficial transcript, bachelor’s or higher, is required for enrollment in graduate courses.  You may upload this within the application or email it to professionalstudies@longwood.edu

Registration takes place in our Professional Studies storefront.  You’ll add the class(es) to a shopping cart, answer a few questions, and check out online with a Visa or Mastercard.

We will need your official master’s transcript.  Your institution can email the official transcript to us directly at leadership@longwood.edu.  Alternately, a sealed official transcript can be sent by postal mail to:

Once we’ve processed your application and have confirmed that we’ve received all materials, we’ll send you a confirmation email that your application is complete.  Our Coordinator, Dr. Daniel Grounard, will review the application and we’ll send you his decision by email.  This process can take anywhere from a few days to a week.

 

If you’ve been accepted, the University will work to create your login credentials and email address, and you’ll receive that information by email from the Help Desk within a few days of acceptance.

If you wish to take a course that has a prerequisite, you will need to complete the SLP Prerequisite Waiver Form and submit an unofficial transcript from the institution where you completed the prerequisite course.  

Once we’ve processed your registration, we’ll send you a confirmation email outlining the class dates and instructor information.  

 

A few days before the class begins, you’ll receive information on accessing the class in Canvas.  If you’re new to our non-credit classes, you will receive login credentials and a dedicated Canvas url for these classes.  Returning non-credit students will receive a Canvas invitation to join the class.

 

Textbooks are not required for the non-credit classes.

Our Graduate Monthly Payment Plan allows participants to make up to four monthly payments during the fall and spring semesters.  The cost to enroll in the plan each semester is $5.  You may opt to make a down payment in order to lower your monthly payments.

As this is not a degree program, these courses do not qualify for federal financial aid.
