PEDU 595-P01: Teachers as Writers, Writers as Teachers (Writing Workshop)

In this course teaching fellows will explore language as a tool for empowerment, read current research on writing theory and practice, develop their identities as writers, and use that knowledge to critique and advance their writing instruction across the content areas using diverse genres and modalities. The course will also explore the connections between teachers as writers and the role of writing in sustaining teacher well-being. Teaching fellows will advance their leadership skills by practicing new methods of professional development that will equip them to lead staff training on writing instruction in their own schools and districts. 3 credits.

Our Professional Studies rate is $285 per credit, plus a $10 per credit technology and infrastructure fee. The total is $295 per credit (in-state) and $365 per credit (out of state), equaling $885 (in-state) or $1,095 (out of state) for a 3-credit course.
