The first step is completing the online application.  You’ll be prompted to create a username and password before beginning the application.

You may upload your teaching license and transcript within the application or email them to professionalstudies@longwood.edu.


There is a one-time application fee, due upon submission of the application.

We will need your teaching license and an unofficial transcript for your most recently conferred degree, bachelor’s or higher.  You may upload these within the application or email them to professionalstudies@longwood.edu.

Once we’ve processed your complete application, we’ll send you a confirmation email with instructions for registration and information on where to find your textbooks (if applicable).

The University will work to create your login credentials, and you’ll receive that information by email from the Help Desk within a few days of confirmation.

Educational Leadership Endorsement

Within the application, you’ll be prompted to provide your recommender’s email address.  You may upload your teaching license within the application or email it to leadership@longwood.edu.

There is a one-time application fee, due upon submission of the application.
We need your official master’s transcript. Your institution can email the official transcript to us directly at leadership@longwood.edu.  Alternately, a sealed official transcript can be sent by postal mail to:

We will need your teaching license and an unofficial transcript for your most recently conferred degree, bachelor’s or higher.  You may upload these within the application or email them to professionalstudies@longwood.edu.

Once we’ve processed your application and have confirmed that we’ve received all materials, we’ll send you a confirmation email that your application is complete.  Your application will be reviewed by our Coordinator and we’ll send you the decision by email.  This process can take anywhere from a few days to a week.

Upon acceptance, the University will work to create your login credentials and email address, and you’ll receive that information by email from the Help Desk within a few days of acceptance.

Provisional Licensure courses

The first step is completing the online application.  You’ll be prompted to create a username and password before beginning the application.

You may upload your provisional license and transcript (if applicable) within the application or email them to professionalstudies@longwood.edu.  Please include your VDOE evaluation letter so that we can ensure our courses align with your requirements.

There is no application fee at this time.  Click “Submit and Pay” and your application will be submitted without a prompt for payment.

If you weren’t able to upload your provisional license, transcript (if applicable) and VDOE evaluation letter within the application, please email them to professionalstudies@longwood.edu.

A member of our licensure team may contact you to schedule a Zoom meeting to discuss your licensure completion plan.

Graduate Non-Degree welcome guide

If you wish to take a course that has a prerequisite, you will need to complete the SLP Prerequisite Waiver Form and attach an unofficial transcript from the institution where you completed the prerequisite course.
