This course is designed to prepare new Career and Technical Educators to create and implement effective curriculum, instruction and assessment in career and technical classes at the middle & high school level. Participants will use the Virginia Department of Education approved competencies and curriculum framework to develop curriculum and lesson plans, design instructional sequences, and assess student achievement. Emphasis will be placed on differentiated instruction and authentic performance-based assessments. 3 credits
Online portion: June 14 – August 9, 2025
In-person week on Longwood’s campus: July 7-11, 2025

Effective fall 2025, a $10 per credit technology and infrastructure fee has been added, bringing the in-state rate to $295 per credit (in-state) and $365 per credit (out of state).
